Check the concentration printed on the vial you are actually holding. The same dose in milligrams is a completely different mark on the syringe at a different concentration. If the number here does not match what your prescriber told you, trust your prescriber.

Where a compounded product is lawfully supplied, it may come at a concentration that differs from the branded pens — and that is precisely where the milligram-to-units arithmetic goes wrong. Convert using the concentration printed on the vial you are holding, never a figure from a forum post.

Common questions

Is microdosing an approved dosing strategy?
No. It is not a labelled regimen. The prescribing information defines a stepped schedule with a specified starting dose; anything below that is off-label and a decision for a prescriber.
